Frequently Asked Questions

What type of yoga do you teach?

I teach Vinyasa Yoga (a creative, flowy practice that synchronises breath to movement) and Ashtanga Yoga (an ancient set sequence that, through repetition and consistency, builds strength and confidence over time).

Both of these styles are beautiful, accessible and can be modified for every body and need.

What are the benefits of yoga?

Yoga can help improve flexibility, strength, balance, posture, and mobility while reducing stress and supporting mental wellbeing. Many students also find that regular practice helps them sleep better, feel calmer, and build confidence both on and off the mat.

Yoga has had a transformative effect in my own life, supporting me to become fitter, healthier, calmer and more present in my day-to-day life.

Do I need to be flexible to join your yoga classes?

Absolutely not. If you ask my own yoga teacher, she will tell you I have been quite a journey with my own flexibility! Being flexible is only a minor part of yoga - there is so much more to it than that. It certainly comes over time, but it is not a prerequisite to start.

Creaky knees, stiff hips and, in my case, hamstrings like iron, are all welcome.

Are your yoga classes in Skipton beginner friendly?

Yes, absolutely. All classes will include modifications to either support or challenge students accordingly. I aim to create supportive and ego-free spaces where people feel free to experiment and make mistakes in their practice. Every class is an opportunity to learn and grow, not a show or competition.

If you’re still feeling nervous, reach out to me about booking a private Yoga class, where we can go through the foundations of yoga together in the comfort of your own home.

Where do your yoga classes take place?

I teach yoga classes in and around Skipton, North Yorkshire, and also offer private yoga, corporate wellbeing sessions, and yoga for hen parties across Yorkshire.

Check the timetable for current class locations or get in touch to discuss private bookings.

Can men come to your yoga classes?

Yoga is for everyone. My classes welcome people of all genders, identities, backgrounds, and experience levels. Whether you're completely new to yoga or have been practising for years, you are welcome exactly as you are.

My aim is to create a safe, friendly space where people can move, breathe, laugh, and grow together, with the focus on the yoga practice and the benefits it brings to each individual.
